現在真的很推薦週期化的訓練,鎖定目標後,將不同的訓練法則用於不同的週期,以肌肥大為例,目前研究指出各個強度區間均有效,所以不倫幾RM都可以執行,並且用週期化的方式去跑課表,最後也要持續漸進式的加重、加訓練量。

The Resistance Training Specialist Level 1 workshop commences online next week and, as promised regarding content from my time at RTS HQ in OKC, I wanted to give you an insight into what really goes on behind the scenes at the highest level of coaching.

The key takeaway is that even though every rep might look the same - they are really not. There is so much that the casual eye doesn’t pick up on, so much that requires thought and feedback by the client / patient / athlete.

Everything is based on the individual client: their movement, tolerances, goals and intentions - no regurgitated one-size-fits-all training protocols. This is just one small perspective into the level of technical analysis, assessment and adjustment that you will start to learn on the Resistance Training Specialist course, and it all starts with the foundational elements explored in RTS Level 1.

This question is number 5️⃣ in the Top 5 questions people ask you when they find out you’re a PT, after:
1️⃣ “How many times a week do you go to the gym?”
... as if that has any relevance to what I’d recommend for them.
2️⃣ “How many reps should I do for Goal X?”
... as if the sheer number of them is more important than the quality of them.
3️⃣ “Do you believe in protein shakes?”
... as of it’s a fucking religion.
4️⃣ “Which is better - barbells or dumbbells?”
... as if they’re not both just forms of mass to create resistance 🤦🏻♂️

40-Minute Resistance Band Total Body Strength Training
Blast your whole body with this resistance band workout. Resistance band has got to be my favourite piece of fitness equipment as they are super affordable, easy to transport and extremely effective in strengthening the entire body. I travel with my resistance band wherever I go to make sure I get to workout no matter where I am! In this workout, I share with you some of my best and favourite resistance band exercises to target the larger muscles as well as smaller muscles. Plus, this is low impact so it’s suitable for everybody!
Duration: 35 Minutes
Sequence: 45 secs Workout - 15 secs Rest
Total Calories: 300 - 350 Cals
Lower Body
1. Resisted Squat
2. Reverse Lunge Single Arm Press
