--Jeff Bezos (貝佐斯,美國電商亞馬遜創辦人)
Invention requires a long-term willingness to be misunderstood.
You do something that you genuinely believe in, that you have conviction about, but for a long period of time, well-meaning people may criticize that effort.
When you receive criticism from well-meaning people, it pays to ask, 'Are they right?'
And if they are, you need to adapt what they're doing. If they're not right, if you really have conviction that they're not right, you need to have that long-term willingness to be misunderstood.
It's a key part of invention."

I don’t know a single Mandarin . So does Dr Halina but yet we send our girls to SJKC .
Why ? - Because we understand the importance of Mandarin .
It will be an advantage for the girls in years to come .
Furthermore it’s good to master many languages including Arabic and French.
But for those who plan to send your kids to a SJKC School ...it takes lots of effort and commitment .
Firstly you are unable to teach them .
You don’t really know what they are learning as all subjects are in Mandarin.
They certainly need extra classes.
Bella & Tasha have extra classes 4x a week .
They usually able to truly speak & write fluently when they are in Standard 3 .
Anything earlier - don’t expect too much .
It takes time for them to adapt as Mandarin is a tough language .
Bella is quite proficient in Mandarin but Tasha is getting there .
Different pronunciation will bring about different meaning .
It’s challenging but will be totally worth it.
Sending to SJKC from an early age is the only way for them to be fluent .
That’s the best way - surrounded by Chinese friends and environment .
Also I loved SJKC teachers - they are as strict as can be .
Memang garang - Haha
Just sharing
Salam Everyone
Love As Always
PS - Adam & Noah will soon go to a Chinese
Kindergarten too . So will Eusoff & Emelia .
That’s the plan .
Read all the plans for my kids in ‘ My Way Of Parenting’ Book .

Life is never a bed of roses. Throughout our life, we are constantly being tested and challenged. Life's stressors occurs, and it's inevitable (loss of love ones, break ups, divorce, loss of job etc).
Uncomfortable situations exist so that we are forced to grow, and move forward. When we feel comfortable, we want to continue staying in that sweet spot. It's when shit hits the fence, that we will seek for alternatives, sometimes even find deeper meaning as to why certain things happened to us and not others.
Of course, it's easy to talk about it. But the fact is, some people bounce back easily from their adversities, while others are stuck in the rut for a long time. Why is that so? Why are some people more resilient than other?
At times like this, positive coping is essential in helping one adapt and adjust to the major changes in our lives. Some examples of positive coping are seeking support from family, friends or professionals, relaxation of any sorts (sleep included), physical recreation, even venting too. What are some of your coping mechanisms? Are they healthy or unhealthy?
Join me on 9 Aug 2020 (lets celebrate National Day together!) 2pm-330pm, as I share what positive coping is, how to cope in a less destructive and healthier way, and some personal tips that have worked wonders for me. As always, sign up link can be found in @wonderandwellness and mine bio, as well as my igstory! See you then! ❤

I recently got back from Japan and was inspired to create this Japanese Igari Makeup Look aka hangover/drunk makeup. This trend was made popular by professional makeup artist Igari Shinobu. If you’re looking for something sweet and cute this Valentine’s day, why not try this look out. You can adapt the blush element to your own makeup style :)

PPAA Orientation Series 2014 AUDAZ

In secondary school, we were often protected by our teachers. Yet, once we enter the University, all these protections are gone. When we face a completely new environment, with so many different choices and challenges, it is always hard for our freshmen to adapt to these changes. Therefore, the theme of the Orientation Series of 2014 is “AUDAZ”, meaning “fearless” in Spanish. Throughout the series of Orientation activities, we hope that our freshmen could surmount themselves and embrace their new University lives fearlessly.
