I figured this might be a good read on IIFYM basics from @syattfitness
_____________
💥THE TRUTH: IF IT FITS YOUR MACROS (IIFYM)💥
-
🐘Listen close because this is important. A lot fitness "gurus" here on IG like to showcase their ripped abs and shredded bodies while posting pictures of themselves eating pizza and ice cream and cake and pie and pop tarts and cookies and blah blah blah.
-
🍄They credit their bodies to this thing called, "If It Fits Your Macros." IIFYM for short. And they say, "IIFYM is what allows me to eat whatever I want, whenever I want while having the body I've always wanted."
-
🐿They explain calorie intake, above all else, matters most for fat loss and as long as you keep your calories in check, you too can look like them."
-
🐭To their credit, they're correct in that calorie intake is the single most important component of fat loss and staying lean year round.
-
🍳But, they're not being 100% honest with you. They're deceiving you in that they're only posting their "fun" meals. The foods that make up a *tiny* percentage of their weekly meals and, at the same time, make you curious and jealous and say, "I wish I could eat like that and look like them."
-
🍕Because that's their marketing strategy. It's their way of promising you can eat whatever you want and still lose fat. And who in their right mind wouldn't want that?
-
✅The truth? 90% of their meals are "clean." They're made up of "healthy" foods like fruits and veggies and proteins and nutrient dense fats and carbs.
-
🔱Because IIFYM is NOT a method that says, "eat junk all day and look great naked." IIFYM is a method that promotes balance and says, "eat 'healthy' 80-90% of the time...and 10-20% you can have "fun stuff" without feeling guilty or remorseful. Because you can absolutely include "unhealthy" foods as part of a healthy diet, especially in moderation.
-
♣️And that's the key to it all. Balance. Not feeling bad for having a donut and not punishing yourself for going "off track." It's about finding the method that works best for you -- whatever that may. 🤗

Many have come to me asking this question, i hope this post by @syattfitness will help DO READ
. - 💥FEMALE vs MALE EXERCISES💥
-
🐥This one is wicked important to me and one of the things I'm most adamant about making sure people understand.
-
☃️There is NO SUCH THING as a "female" or "male" exercise. It does not exist. There isn't a single exercise men can do that women shouldn't. And there isn't a single exercise women should do that men shouldn't.
-
☕️Wanna pick some heavy weights up? Deadlift that shit up! Woman or man, doesn't matter. I have male clients who deadlift well into the 700's and female clients who deadlift well into the 300's.
-
🏓Wanna crank out chin-ups? Do it! Start with a variation that you can do with perfect form and progress your way to as advanced as you can go. I have female and male clients banging out weighted chin-ups like it's their job.
-
🦄Moral of the story? Anyone who tells you not to do a X exercise or Y workout because you're the "wrong" gender is an ignoramus. Nod, smile, then keep on doing what works for YOU because that's what matters most.

💥BECOMING AN ADVANCED DIETER💥
So earlier i re-posted something on beginer dieting, here is re-post by @syattfitness for advanced diet!!! -
🦄As much as I talk about calorie counting, I honestly believe the ultimate form of "diet mastery" is a more intuitive approach. Being able to, above all else, listen to your body and know what/how much you need simply based on the cues your body is giving you.
-
🍕However, the reason I talk about calorie counting so much is because intuitive eating is a skill. It's an advanced form of dieting that takes A LOT of time and effort and patience and consistency to develop. And just like you don't learn to deadlift by doing deficit deadlifts vs bands...you don't learn to lose body fat and keep it off by jumping into the most advanced progression. Because unless you're already very lean and look the way you can want to look...your current "intuitive" is not yet what it needs to be for long-term success.
-
🌵That's why, when you start dieting, you need to go through the mastery process. First gain the knowledge. Second develop the skills. And, third, fine tune the "tricks of the trade" to make everything come together.
-
☕️Remember, flexible dieting is a skill. Intuitive eating is only intuitive once you've taken the time to make it intuitive. You don't need to count calories forever. But if you want to get to a point where you don't have to...mastering the skill, first, will help you get their faster.
